With June comes the long Summer that was promised; and not a moment too soon we hear you cry.

Time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

According to the Royal Horticultural Society, the top ten jobs to get on with this month in the garden are as follows:

  • Hoe borders regularly to keep down weeds
  • Be water-wise, especially in drought-affected areas
  • Pinch out sideshoots on tomatoes
  • Harvest lettuce, radish, other salads and early potatoes
  • Position summer hanging baskets and containers outside
  • Mow lawns at least once a week
  • Plant out summer bedding
  • Stake tall or floppy plants
  • Prune many spring-flowering shrubs
  • Shade greenhouses to keep them cool and prevent scorch

The sunshine bring extra warmth and light and helps your garden burst with colour and growth.

But watch out, what works for the flowers; also works for the weeds.

With this in mind, the tool of the month for June is the Wolf Garten Multi-Change® Push-Pull Weeder 15cm.

This super tool features a wavy, dual edge blade that works backwards and forwards below the soil level cutting through weeds with ease.
